Why use electrolysis for eyebrows?
Electrolysis gives you a brow line you decide once and keep, because treated follicles do not grow back. Tweezing and waxing only remove hair from the surface of the skin. The root stays, the hair returns, and the shape drifts a little more each month.
Laser is rarely used near the brows, and it skips pale and gray hairs anyway. Electrolysis works hair by hair with a fine probe, so it can clean a unibrow gap, lift an arch, or thin the tail without touching the hairs you want. For the full comparison see electrolysis vs laser.
What does eyebrow electrolysis cost?
Eyebrows fall under the face general zone, which is $75 for 30 minutes.
| Service | Time | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Eyebrow shaping, face general zone | 30 min | $75 |
| Eyebrows plus upper lip, back to back | 30 + 20 min | $125 |
The 15-minute consultation is free, and the first session is $25 off. Buy 5 visits and save 10%, or 10 visits and save 15%. Everything is listed on the prices page.

How many sessions do eyebrows need?
A tidy-up of a few strays can finish in 6 to 12 sessions over 6 to 12 months, while a full redesign takes longer. Results vary. These factors move the number:
- How much you remove. A clean-up under the arch is quick. A new shape takes more hairs and more visits.
- Years of tweezing. Repeated plucking can curve the follicle, so a few hairs need extra passes.
- Hair type. Fine, light hair clears faster than coarse, dark hair.
- Hormones. Shifts around menopause or thyroid changes can wake up new hairs. See PCOS facial hair for the hormonal side.
| Stage | Visit frequency | What you will see |
|---|---|---|
| Setting the line | Every 1 to 2 weeks | Stray hairs thin out |
| Refining | Every 3 weeks | Regrowth is sparse and fine |
| Maintaining | Every 4 to 6 weeks | Only the last stragglers |
A typical plan, not a promise. Aida adjusts it as your brows respond.
What happens during a visit?
A visit starts with the shape, not the probe. You sit back, Aida cleanses the brow, and the two of you draw the line with a pencil. You can ask for a softer arch, a longer tail, or more space between the brows, and you check it in the mirror.
After that a new sterile probe is opened, and each hair outside the line is treated and lifted out. Aida Khazieva, a licensed cosmetologist and electrologist, picks thermolysis, galvanic or blend per hair on an Apilus device. Read how each works on the electrolysis hub.
How do you prepare and heal?
Come with about 1 to 2 millimeters of growth and keep the brow calm afterward.
Before your visit
- Stop tweezing, waxing and threading 2 to 3 weeks ahead so hairs are long enough to grasp
- Trim long brow hairs only if they hide the stray ones
- Arrive without brow pencil or tint on the area
- Skip retinol and exfoliating acids on the brow for three days
After your visit
- Expect light pinkness for a few hours
- Keep makeup off the brow until the next morning
- Do not pick at any small scabs
- Wear sunscreen on the area every day
Pinkness fades quickly, and most clients go straight back to work.
Who comes to us for brow electrolysis?
Clients range from people removing a unibrow to those fixing years of over-plucking or evening out an asymmetric pair. If you also want to treat the lip or chin, those areas have their own pages: upper lip and chin.
We welcome clients from Irvine, Tustin, Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, Lake Forest and across Orange County. The studio is at 18021 Sky Park Circle, Suite N, Irvine, CA 92614, open daily 8am to 9pm. Questions go through the contact page.
Results vary by person. Electrolysis is performed by a licensed professional, and you receive an individual estimate at your consultation.

Questions
How much does eyebrow electrolysis cost?
Eyebrow work is billed as a face general zone: $75 for a 30-minute session. First-time clients get $25 off, and packages save 10% on 5 visits and 15% on 10 visits.
Is eyebrow hair removal with electrolysis permanent?
Yes. Each treated follicle is destroyed and does not grow another hair. New hairs that appear later come from follicles that were dormant during earlier visits, which is why a course takes months.
Can I design a new brow shape with electrolysis?
Yes. Many clients come to raise a brow arch, remove a unibrow, or even out one side. You approve the shape with a pencil before any hair is treated.
How many sessions do eyebrows take?
It depends on the area. Cleaning under the arch or between the brows is often done in 6 to 12 sessions. Heavy reshaping takes longer. Results vary, and Aida gives an estimate at your consultation.
Does it hurt around the eyebrow?
The skin near the bone is thin, so you may feel a quick sting. Sessions are short and the intensity can be adjusted. Many clients find it easier after the first visit.
Can I tint, wax or tweeze my brows between visits?
Skip waxing, threading and tweezing, because a hair must be present for the probe to follow it. Brow pencil and powder are fine after the first day, and you can keep your tint schedule.
Is it safe for eyes and thin skin?
Yes. Treatment stays at the brow line, with a safe distance from the lid. Aida has worked on faces for 20+ years and uses a new sterile probe every visit.
Will my brows look uneven after a session?
They may look slightly pink for a few hours, but the shape stays where you drew it. Because treatment is hair by hair, nothing changes outside the line.
